The teacher behind Piece of Play
I've been teaching for 11 years — starting as a Grade R teacher, then Grade 1, before becoming a Remedial Teacher for Grades 1–3, and more recently for Grade R too. I'm now also Head of our Pre-Primary school, and at home, a mom to two young boys of my own.
Helping learners — and their parents — has been my passion since day one. I especially love working with neurodiverse children who struggle, helping them first discover what they're good at. I believe a happy, confident child is a learning child.
Piece of Play comes from that belief: play should never be an afterthought to learning — it's where real learning begins, from a young age.
